The taggiasche olives are typical from the Valle Argentina of Taggia, a striking medieval country in the province. It was the Cappuccini monks that introduced the orginial plant from the holy land, by grafting the plants they have obtained the taggiasche olives.

In the modern olive production the taggiasche olives occupy a high position, they are in fact the most delicate variety in the world and consequentially the most precious.
